Data Dense Visual UI

Through various projects, I have been asked a number of times to re-imagine the way certain screens would look within our products. These are some examples that have come out of those work efforts.

Dashboard

Through various information architecture sessions with the product owner and other members of the UX team, we had come up with a game plan to put forth a new concept for our main product line.  These are the main artifacts that came from those discussions.

Appraising

We also came together and worked the largest traffic section of our application. We really wanted a new more responsive more customizable piece of UI. This would allow users to set up the way they want to appraise vehicles with ease. Working with a grid each widget would have a full, 2/3, and 1/3 version so users could set them up quickly and efficiently.

Charts & graphs

When the UI/UX team sat down to try to bring all of our products into alignment one of the biggest areas for improvement we saw was charts & graphs. We use them throughout our apps and they convey a lot of important data to our users.

We sat down and did an exploratory exercise to find out what would be the best direction to go with these patterns. We referenced frameworks like D3 (Data Driven Documents) and Kendo UI that our dev could implement easily and then added our styling.

What follows is examples of my work from this exercise.
